The economic topics to be discussed in the plenary session in Strasbourg

EU/EN - During the week of February 10-14, the European Parliament will convene in Strasbourg for its plenary session.

The debate on the economic issues .

The hemicycle will be working on the "strategy for competitiveness" of the Union, with President Von der Leyen who will present the Commission's work program for 2025 which focuses on the European compass that has attracted so much attention in the political circles of the Member States.

The parliamentarians will be called to debate on the front of the duties announced by the United States on European products. This is a topic at the center of global media hype. The works are expected to include interventions in Parliament on the "state of EU-US trade relations", as well as the issue of the US withdrawal from the WHO and the Paris Agreement.

The “state of the EU economy and the activities of the European Central Bank” will be the topic of discussion with ECB President Christine Lagarde.

The plenary session is also expected to be lively and the political-war front, with Ukraine and the Middle East will always be at the center of the debate.
