The economic themes of the G7 Summit in Italy

EN - At the G7 in Italy from 13 to 15 June there was unanimous solidarity towards Ukraine with a 50 billion loan by the end of 2024. With regard to China, there are confirmations of limiting the commercial overcapacity of the Asian giant. A solicitation for investments in infrastructure is planned for Africa.

An action plan was also decided to mitigate the risks of Artificial Intelligence, as also urged by the Pope's unprecedented and historic speech at the Summit. On civil rights, a direct reference to abortion was omitted, resulting in controversy between Macron and the Italian prime minister.
