The new German Chancellor Merz also recalled Ukraine's commitment to peace since March 11, when Kiev had accepted the US proposal for a thirty-day ceasefire, and reiterated, on behalf of the new government in Berlin, Germany's commitment to stand alongside Ukraine under attack.
