Eurozone: GDP to grow by 0.9% in 2024 according to the International Monetary Fund

EU/EN - According to the International Monetary Fund, in 2024 the growth of the Eurozone's Gross Domestic Product will be 0.9%. This is stated in the update of the World Economic Outlook.

The data regarding Germany is disappointing with + 0.5% and Italy +0.7%. France is better, growing by 1% in 2024, and Spain even more so with a positive GDP performance of 1.5%.

The new estimates were illustrated by the International Monetary Fund's chief economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, who said: "We are very far from a recession scenario" for the world economy. " And, in monetary policy, the Fund's forecast is that the ECB will leave rates at current levels until the second half of 2024 before gradually decreasing with inflation moving towards targets.

Così recita l'aggiornamento del World Economic Outlook.
